HUBBARD  Anthony “Uncle Tony” Stimac, 80, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, August 16, 2016. He was born April 25th, 1936 in Newton Falls, Ohio, the eldest son of Anthony Sr. and Mary (Gorek) Stimac. Anthony graduated from East High School in Youngstown.  He went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Air Force, where he was trained as a Dental Laboratory Specialist.  Being a firm believer in always working hard and doing a good job, he had maintained two careers simultaneously.  He made prosthetics for various local dentists while also working as a Production Scheduler at General Motors.  After 35 years of perfect attendance at his dual professions, he retired in 1998. Anyone that had the pleasure of meeting “Uncle Tony” will remember him for his love of horses.  He owned several prize winner harness racing horses, and was envied for his knack of finding, training, and nurturing what others saw as the shabbiest horse into a champion. Left to celebrate Uncle Tony’s life will be his nephew and caregiver Joseph (Dawn Marie) Warminski. One additional nephew and godson Tony Warminski of California; Four nieces Mary Warminski and Krissy Warminski of Austintown, Fran Hammond of Campbell, and Teresa (Michael) Kratofil of Lewis Center.  One great-nephew Adam Hammond, and four great-nieces Hannah Kratofil, Emma Kratofil, Aubri Warminski, and Trini Warminski the one that was always able to make him laugh and smile regardless of how he was feeling. In addition to his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Stimac and a sister, Frances Warminski; one step-brother John Gorek, and four step-sisters, Mary Troy, Anna Lake, Lucille Turkovich, and Rose Force. His family would like to thank anyone that didn’t judge him and showed him compassion and understanding during the years of his illness.  He was a kind soul that will be sadly missed. A private service was held Friday for friends and family at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home. Interment was at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Coitsville. Please visit www.krcummins.com to view this obituary and to send condolences to the family.
