Barbara Joan Weimer

HUBBARD Memorial services will be held on Saturday August 19, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Swierz officiating for Barbara Joan Weimer, 82, who died August 20, 2016 at her daughter’s home in Massachusetts. She was born August 4, 1934 in Youngstown, a daughter of Perry F. Walts and Katherine M. Vigarino.

Mrs. Weimer, a homemaker, had worked for the Moo Shop in Youngstown during the 50’s and that is where she met her husband William. She was a lifelong member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, a long term member of its Infant of Prague and Altar and Rosary Society. Barb volunteered at the Northside Hospital Gift Shop for many years. She was an avid bowler for many years even bowling with her mother. Barb bowled on the Kelley-Robb-Cummins team at Bell Wick Bowl in Hubbard having also bowled in many tournaments and receiving numerous trophies that she was very proud of.

Her husband, William Eugene Weimer, whom she married May 28, 1960, died March 24, 2012. She leaves three daughters, Mary Kay (Bill) Cook of Brookfield, Trina A. Weimer of Masury and Barbara L. (Richard) Weimer-Van Hoosen of Lynn, MA; a stepson, William B. (Kathy) Weimer of Whitehouse, OH; a stepdaughter, Cheryl A. (Ken) Booth of Pretoria, South Africa; a brother, James M. (Judy) Barita of Hubbard; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather, Stanley J. Barita who raised her, her husband William; and sister, Patricia A. (John) Graban.

Family and friends may call on Saturday August 19, 2017, one hour prior to the memorial services from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Barb’s final resting place will be at St. Patrick Cemetery.
