Bonnie J. (Goncz) Keyes

HUBBARD Bonnie J. (Goncz) Keyes, 76, died Wednesday morning January 4, 2017 at her home with her family at her side. She was born June 1, 1940 in Masury, OH. Mrs. Keyes was a 1958 graduate of Brookfield High School, served with the United States Army (Women’s Army Corp), attended college at Youngstown State University, and was a member of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church. She was an orthodontic assistant for Drs. Booth in Sharon, PA for 52 years and was also a dental and oral surgery assistant for Primary Health Dental in Farrell, New Castle, and Beaver Falls, PA for 17 years. Bonnie loved her work and enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, traveling, and being in nature. Her biggest joy and love was her family. Her husband, William J. Keyes, whom she married in August of 1965, died September 13, 2012. She leaves a daughter, Shannon (David) Keyes Ciucevich of Hubbard; a son, Seth Keyes of Hubbard; a grandson, Jacob Murphy of Hubbard; three brothers, Tim (Linda) Goncz of Arizona, David (Wanda) Goncz of Idaho and Paul Goncz of Lowellville; two sisters, Helen (Frank) Fani of Masury and Ruth (Mark) Deutsch of Hubbard; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Goncz of Pennsylvania and Betty Tary of Colorado; and a large loving extended family and many friends. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Helen (Krayniak) and Joseph Goncz; two brothers, Gary Goncz and Joseph Goncz Jr. and in-laws, Mary (Knapik) and Joseph Keyes, Jack Tary, and Wilbur and Peggy Meyer. Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 1 PM at the Kelley- Robb – Cummins Funeral Home, 709 North Main Street, Hubbard, OH with full military honors provided by the American Legion Post No. 540 Trumbull County Honor Guard.
