HUBBARD A memorial Mass will be held on Friday July 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Murphy officiating for Joseph Anthony Trolio, 93, who died Sunday afternoon July 9, 2017 at his home. Joseph was born in Brier Hill August 4, 1923 on Poplar Street to immigrant parents Antonio and Nicolette Trolio. Joe was the second child of seven children. He attended Brier Hill, and Rayen schools. Joe volunteered as a 26 year old and worked with the Civilian Conservation Corps. (CCC). In 1943, he enlisted with the U.S. Army’s 147th Infantry and served his country during the war stationed in the South Pacific, and upon his discharge, Joe learned the auto body trade. In 1955, he was promoted to Body Shop Manager at State Chevrolet. Joe opened his own business, J & J Trolio’s Auto Body on Hubbard Road in 1973, a business he operated until his retirement. Joe married Antoinette (Toni) Vespasian in 1947 at St. Anthony’s Church on West Federal Street. Joe was very active in the Brier Hill Italian Fest and was named “2007 Man of the Year”. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed golfing and dancing.

Together Joe and Antoinette had two children, Nicolette (Ray) Farcas of Hubbard and Joseph Trolio Jr. of Struthers, 6 grandchildren, Jenifer (Zane) Darnell, Ray (Jennifer) Farcas, Jessica (Chris) Coonce and Joe, Chad and Ashley Trolio; 14 great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Madison, Grant, Kennedy and Gage Darnell, Ella and Alyssa Farcas, Emily and Miley Coonce and Joe, Haylee, Brianna, Chloe and Brooklyn Trolio. Joe also leaves his best friend and companion of 27 years Rosemary Powell of Youngstown.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Antoinette; four brothers, Dan, Nick, Albert and Anthony and two sisters, Rose and Jean.

Family and friends may call on Friday, one hour prior to the Mass from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 2044 Youngstown Rd. SE, Warren, OH 44484.

Arrangements are being handled by the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Joseph’s final resting place will be at St. James Cemetery.
