Michael Anthony DelBane

HUBBARD A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Swierz officiating for Michael Anthony DelBane, 70, who died Saturday afternoon April 23, 2016 at Liberty Health Care Center. He was born July 31, 1945 in Youngstown, a son of Anthony J. “Tony” and Margaret G. Bobovnyik DelBane and was a lifelong Hubbard resident. Mr. DelBane was a tow truck driver for Mesaros Towing for 5 years and previously was a truck driver for various trucking companies for 22 years. He served with the Ohio National Guard. Michael was a member of the Hubbard Gridiron Club, the Hello Brothers Club and was a track official at Sharon, Expo, Mercer and Raceway 7 Speedways. He enjoyed bowling, golf and was an avid NASCAR fan. Michael leaves a son, Bryan DelBane of Clearwater, FL; two brothers, Dennis (Carol) DelBane of Cleveland and Robert (Andrea) DelBane of Hubbard; two sisters, Kathy DelBane and Patti Smith both of Hubbard and one granddaughter, Baily. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife of 38 years, the former Carol Wagner, who died in 2003 and his second wife of 8 years, the former Robin Furney, who died in 2013. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of his close friends who stood by his side and also to MVI Hospice and Liberty Health Care for the wonderful care Michael received. Family and friends may call on Saturday, from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home. A funeral luncheon will be held at the Gentry in Hubbard following the memorial Mass.
