Samuel R. Moore Jr.

GREENVILLE PA Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 4, 2016 at noon at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home with Pastor Carla Davies officiating for Samuel R. Moore Jr., 75, formerly of Hubbard, who died Saturday morning October 1, 2016 at his home. He was born November 9, 1940 in Fredricktown, PA a son of Samuel R. Sr. and Clara J. Piper Moore. Mr. Moore, a veteran of the United States Air Force was a foreman for J.P. Marsh and Company for 6 years, retiring in 2002 and formerly was a foreman for Midland Ross – Maliable Steel for over 19 years. After his retirement he worked part time at Pine Hill Golf Course in Greenville. Sam enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, playing cards, watching football, bowling, spending time at the cabin, but most of all spending time with his family. He leaves his wife, the former Joyce A. Hammond, whom he married July 10, 1993; two sons, Roy R. Moore of Masury and Curtis T. Moore of Hubbard; two daughters, Korine K. (Brian) Owen of Portland, IN and Kristin L. (Nicholas) DiBucci of Greenville, PA; one brother, Louis J. (Betty) Moore of Beallsville, PA; three sisters, Frances George of Kirby, PA, Glenda (Dick) Davis of Fredricktown, PA and Sharon (Keith) Cowell of Waynesburg, PA; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Moore and Wilma Moore; five stepsons, Michael (Lorie) Buchsenschutz of Maurertown, WV, James (Cathy) Buchsenschutz of Port Allegany, PA, William (Tonya) Buchsenschutz of Port Allegany, PA, David (Carrie) Buchsenschutz of Port Allegany, PA and Daniel (Michele) Buchsenschutz of Sharon, PA; a stepdaughter, Pamela (Herman) Burrows of Shinglehouse, PA; 25 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Sam was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert C. Moore and Arthur D. Moore; a sister, Pauline Wilson; a grandson David Lee Owen; a stepson, Robert Buchsenschutz and three siblings who died in infancy. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the funeral services on Tuesday from 11:00 AM to Noon at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
