NILES Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Corner House Christian Church with Rev. David Coxson officiating for Lloyd J. Haddenham, 89, formerly of Hubbard, who died Sunday morning June 3, 2018 at Continuing Health Care of Niles. He was born September 22, 1928 in Kemmerer, WY, a son of John and Addie Rose Haddenham and had moved to Hubbard in 1958.
Mr. Haddenham was a member of Corner House Christian Church where he served as Bible School Superintendent, an Elder, Deacon, Trustee, Bible Bowl volunteer and was actively involved in the building of the sanctuary and the chapel. He served with the United States Army during World War II serving in Japan and Germany. Lloyd worked for Shane Security for 16 years, was a machinist for Erie Lackawanna Railroad / Conrail for over 30 years before retiring in 1990 and had worked for Hathaway Bakeries before the railroad. He was an avid bowler for 50 years and attended the Cincinnati Bible Seminary.
He leaves his wife, the former Lois J. Miller, whom he married August 3, 1957; a daughter, Melody (Rodney) Brady of Niles; two sisters, Chris Bacon of Arlington, TX, and Judith Bertwell of Boise, ID; a half-sister, Mary (David) Samuelson of Utah; a grandson, Jonathan (Taunya) Brady; a great grandson, Logan Brady and several nieces and nephews.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son and daughter, Paul and Paula; four brothers, Stuart G., Warren B., his twin Floyd J. and Leslie “Dan” Haddenham and a sister, Norma Brune.
Family and friends may call on Friday June 8, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Kelley- Robb-Cummins Funeral Home and also on Saturday June 9, 2018 from 10:30 to 11:00 AM at Corner House Christian Church.
Full military honors will be provided by the Trumbull County American Legion Honor Guard Post No. 540.
Memorial donations may be made to the Corner House Christian Church Building Fund, 6954 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Hubbard, OH 44425.
Interment will be at Corner House Cemetery.
