Robert W. Scott

HUBBARD Funeral services will be held on Friday April 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Coalburg United Methodist Church for Robert W. Scott, 80, who died Sunday morning April 8, 2018 at Hospice House. He was born April 28, 1937 in Youngstown, a son of Walter H. and Virginia E. Fricker Scott and was a lifelong Hubbard resident except for living in Winter Haven, FL from 1994 to 2006.

Mr. Scott, a 1955 graduate of Hubbard High School, served with the United States Army and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Youngstown State University. He was a 7th grade Social Studies teacher at Reed Middle School in Hubbard for 28 years, retiring in 1994. Bob was a member of the Coalburg United Methodist Church in Hubbard and enjoyed wood working, painting, sculpting and crafts.

He leaves his wife of 48 years, the former Beverly A. Thomas, whom he married April 12, 1969; a son, James R. (Sheila) Scott of Cabot, AR; a daughter, Patricia R. (Larry) Pennington of Canfield; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Scott of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; 2 sisters, Sally Pearson of Norfolk, VA and Jeanie (Tom) Ryser of Hubbard; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Michael W. Scott.

Family and friends may call on Thursday April 12, 2018 at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and also one hour prior to the funeral services on Friday April 13, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Coalburg United Methodist Church.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Liver Foundation, 6133 Rockside Rd. Suite 301, Independence, OH 44131.

Interment will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
