HUBBARD Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 3, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Hitchcock officiating for Russel “Russ” Quentin Daff, 80, who died Saturday morning December 29, 2018 at his home. He was born April 26, 1938 in Youngstown, a son of Samuel Q. and Ruth A. Hoover Daff.
Mr. Daff, a member of Central Christian Church was a mechanic for Ford Motor Company for 50 years. Russ had a love for woodworking, gardening and built his family’s home; he enjoyed repairing lawn & garden equipment and along with his wife Jane frequently attended Music on Madison. Russ was known for his work ethic and will be missed by all who knew him, especially his family.
He leaves his wife, the former Jane Slayton, whom he married August 30, 1958; three sons, Russel Q. Daff and his partner Kenneth Kincak of Carnegie, PA, Thomas M. Daff and his wife Melissa of McDonald and Gary L. Daff and his wife Valarie of Hubbard; a brother, Samuel Daff of Girard; two sisters, Elinor Williams of Boardman and Sally Cohrs of Cannon Falls, MN; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Russ was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kristi L. Gardner and two sisters, Georgi Haken and Dorothy Novince.
Family and friends may call on Thursday January 3, 2019 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
Russ’s final resting place will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
