John R. Kuty

HUBBARD Funeral services will be held on Monday November 23, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Kelley-Cummins Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Cesene officiating for John R. Kuty, 66, who died Monday November 16, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born July 2, 1954 in Youngstown, a son of Joseph F. and Geraldine R. Hayes Kuty Sr. and was a lifelong Hubbard resident.

Mr. Kuty, a 1972 graduate of Hubbard High School, was of the Presbyterian faith. He was the program director for WLOA in Greenville, PA from 2002-2010 and was formerly a dispatcher for the Hubbard City Police Department from 1973-1980 and 1997-2002. John was a founding member and Past President of the Hello Brothers Club and was the equipment manager for the Hubbard Eagles Football program for 15 years. He liked to golf, was a big Cleveland sports fan, especially the Browns and was also a Buckeyes fan.

He leaves his wife, the former Nancy A. Oltmann, whom he married April 23, 1977; a son, Michael J. (Patricia) Kuty of Austintown; a daughter, Julia L. (Steven) Dominick of Savannah, GA; three brothers, Gary Kuty and his wife Liz of Cape Coral, FL, Joseph Kuty Jr. of Akron and Richard Kuty and his wife Barbara of Boardman; one grandson, Christopher Dominick of Struthers; his mother-in-law, Geraldine Oltmann of Hubbard; his dog son, Ben and 3 grand dogs, Fred and Kevin of Girard and Barry of Austintown.

John was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald Kuty.

Family and friends may call on Monday November 23, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Kelley-Cummins Funeral Home. Due to COVID-19, It is requested that all those in attendance observe social distancing and proper health protocols and ask that all guests, whose health allows, to please wear a face mask.

Interment will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
