Frank Schlatter Jr.

HUBBARD Frank Schlatter Jr., 74, died Tuesday morning April 19, 2016 at his home. He was born December 16, 1941 in Youngstown, a son of Frank and Dora DeSanctis Schlatter Sr. and was a lifelong Hubbard resident. Mr. Schlatter was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and served with the United States Army. He was a forklift operator at McDonald Steel for 20 years, retiring in 2001 and formerly had worked at Powell Pressed Steel. Frank enjoyed making “The Best” homemade spaghetti sauce, gardening, watching boxing and MMA, hunting and fishing and going for rides with his buddy Tank. He leaves his wife, the former Kathy M. Mikita, whom he married January 30, 1965; a son, Michael F. (fiancé Erica Blinzley) Schlatter of Hubbard; two daughters, Tammy Schlatter and Lisa (Carl) Javorchik both of Hubbard; four sisters, Carol Reeveley, Deloris “Snooky” (Felix) Madeline, Sandy (Tom) Cimmento and Carla (Ed) Sauline; two sisters-in-law, Margie (Jerry) Campana and Carol “Shortie” Mikita; three grandchildren, Emily, Breanna and Taylor; many nieces and nephews and his fur babies, Tank, Kadee, Kelli and Boo. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Paula Santisi. Private memorial services were held on Tuesday at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
